Motivational Monday: Set Standards

If you want to achieve a certain goal, there are three things you need to have:

  1. Your goal
  2. Your boundaries
  3. Your standards


First, you want to establish a goal: an endpoint, which you will strive to reach.  There is no goal too big and unobtainable.  If you can dream it, do it.  If you can’t do it, try again.  Setting a goal is the primary step to accomplishing anything.

Second, you have to know your boundaries.  What are your limits?  When you’ve discovered what your obstacles are, now is the time to overcome them.  You have to reach this point in order to step into the next phase.

Third, set standards for none other than yourself.  You are your #1 competition and ALWAYS keep that in mind.  When you have surpassed your boundaries and set high standards for yourself, you will gain the desire to achieve greater feats.


 Establish a goal, know your boundaries and surpass them by setting standards for yourself!
